Peonies inthe vase

The peony is considered a flower of power combining the symbols of feminine beauty, generosity and success in China, its country of origin. In Feng-shui, the peony is the queen of flowers. It is the symbol of a lasting and happy marriage. This painting depicts the last three flowers of a large bouquet of the first peonies of last year's season. The peonies lasted three weeks bursting with color. Only my painting knives have approached this canvas.
